The key word here is ‘custom’. There are literally dozens of different chips and tunes available these days, so your choice has never been so broad. Which can be a problem. Which is the best tuning system?

Although many ‘mail order’ tunes or cheap tuning ‘chips’ can net you some gains this is in no small part due the fact that GM engines such as those fitted throughout VE – VF V6 models all have different tolerances engine to engine, and are very fuel rich. This is the case from factory, due to the simple fact that they are mass produced engines and for safety reasons regarding the fuel. These ‘canned’ tunes will help to some extent, but clearly is completely inferior to a custom tune for your specific engines characteristics, which is precisely what we do here at WDP.

We tune your vehicle using one of the most reputable tuning suites available, VCM Suite. We keep everything on file, so if you wish to sell your vehicle at a later stage for a nominal fee we will happily set everything back to stock. At this stage there are literally no downsides – you will get better fuel consumption, more power and torque, and even better throttle response. What’s not to love?

We replace the restrictive factory intake with the industry leading free-flowing Orssom OTR to allow more air into the engine. With this massive increase in air, we are able to add more fuel to the mix and tune your vehicle to get ever more of the good stuff – much more power, increased torque and a great throaty intake noise, with even better fuel consumption than standard.

Our Phase Three Performance Package is one of our most popular, and for good reason. You get the performance gains from the Orssom OTR and custom dyno tune, as well as an idle note that your V6 should’ve come with from the factory!

The cat-back exhaust system consists of all piping from the factory cats mounted just behind the engine, all the way back to and including the rear tips. We offer a few different sizes and brands of cat-backs, so we can provide you with anything from a low burble at idle or a far more aggressive note that simply demands attention.

The 2.5” Xforce advanced cat-back is by far the most popular option for V6 upgrades. This system is the loudest of the bunch thanks to replacing the centre muffler with hotdogs in the front and regular rear mufflers in the rear. Although it does sound tough, it may drone somewhat in some instances. Even so it is rare that this wipes the smile off our customers’ faces who have gone with this option.

 *Headers can be upgraded to 1 3/4” for more power and an even more aggressive note.

Get the most power possible without opening up the engine. The addition of high flow headers and freer flowing catalytic converters to the OTR and cat-back supplied in the Phase Three Package adds considerable horsepower and torque, whilst the note at idle is also improved to a much deeper V6 rumble. There will be no doubt your car has had significant work done, yet won’t be so obtrusive as to attract the wrong kind of attention.
